Derrick May

Derrick May is currently the president and CEO of Optimum Energy Partners LLC, a position he has held since April 2021. Optimum Energy Partners is a Dallas-based independent oil and gas company that focuses on the acquisition, exploration, and production of oil and gas properties. In this role, May has direct supervision over the company's top executives and is in charge of the day-to-day operations. Essential responsibilities include ensuring that all necessary systems, resources, and personnel are in place to meet the enterprise's short- and long-term goals. This includes providing robust tools and resources to assist each employee in meeting position-related objectives as well as personal goals.
